Earlier this year, the Moving Bodies Lab held an interdisciplinary workshop exploring how slowing and stillness relates to health and wellbeing.

The workshop took a critical approach to the public health issue of sedentarism and physical activity by asking: What are bodies doing, when they are slowing or still?

It featured contributions from Dr Chloe Asker (University of Exeter), Dr Jennifer Airlie (Durham University), Nora Heidorn, (curator and researcher) and Dr Arya Thampuran (Durham University).

We are delighted to announce that reflections on the workshop are now available to read on The Polyphony.
