Visual and Material Lab Lead Fiona Johnstone presented a paper on “Critical Interlopers: Artists as Researchers in the Health Humanities” at the symposium “Creative-Critical Approaches to the Health Humanities” at Perdu, Amsterdam in May 2025. Convened by Hannah van Hove (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and team, the symposium is one of a number of activities organised by the OSL-funded research incubator ‘Creative-Critical Approaches to the Health Humanities’ which brings together researchers working in the fields of literary studies, creative writing, disability studies, nursing and narrative medicine to form a transdisciplinary and interuniversity research group.
