Applications are now open for three Bridging Fellowships within the Discovery Research Platform at the Institute for Medical Humanities.

What is a Bridging Fellowship?

Bridging Fellowships provide an intensive career development opportunity for recently completed PhD graduates to publish findings from their doctoral research, expand their skills and networks, and prepare their next major research projects.

Appointed to both IMH and an academic Department within the University, Bridging Fellows will be based initially in one of the Discovery Research Platform’s six Labs. They will be encouraged to engage with research and activity across the Platform, including:

  • regular participation in Lab meetings, workshops and other events
  • collaboration in methodological innovation with interdisciplinary and cross-sector partners through a range of modalities
  • the design and delivery of pilot and proof-of-concept studies

Bridging Fellows will also be supported to produce outputs from existing research, as well as to collaborate with other Labs and Researchers across the Platform.

These roles offer an exciting opportunity to make an important contribution to the development of research and methodological innovation within the Discovery Research Platform for Medical Humanities, while allowing you excellent opportunities to develop your career in an exciting and progressive institution.

We welcome applications from those with research interests in the broad field of medical humanities and are particularly eager to hear from applicants with expertise in race and health, neurodiversity and lived experience research.

Applications close on April 15.
